Members’ Circle standards

Safe, respectful and real

Joining the community means helping protect the people inside it.

Members’ Circle standards

Safe, respectful and real

The goal is honest conversation about recovery, mental wellbeing and difficult chapters without judgment, exploitation or harmful advice.

The Members’ Circle does not replace professional treatment, counseling, legal advice or emergency support.
01

Respect the person

Disagree with care. No shaming, insults, harassment or defining somebody by their worst chapter.

02

Protect privacy

Do not share screenshots, private messages, personal details or another person’s story without clear permission.

03

No harmful promotion

No glorification of crime or substance use, instructions for harmful behavior, graphic self-harm content, medical claims, selling, recruitment or unwanted direct messages.

04

Speak from experience, not authority

Members can share what helped them, but should not diagnose, prescribe, advise somebody to stop or change medication, or pressure another person to follow one path.

05

Moderation protects the space

Posts or accounts may be reviewed, limited or removed when needed to protect members and the purpose of the community.

06

Urgent risk needs urgent support

The community is not continuously monitored as a crisis service. Immediate danger or urgent mental-health risk must be directed to local emergency or professional support.

07

No pressure to disclose

Nobody should be pushed to reveal a diagnosis, trauma, criminal history, medication, identity or personal details. Share only what feels safe.

08

Use care with sensitive topics

Use clear, non-graphic language and content warnings where appropriate. Moderators may hide details that could place another member at risk.

Moderation questions

Clear rules protect honest conversation

Rules should be applied consistently and updated as the community grows.

What content can be removed?

Yes. Recovery, anxiety, low mood, grief, loneliness and difficult days can be discussed through personal experience, as long as members respect privacy and do not present themselves as clinicians.

Can members use anonymous identities?

The community app can be configured to support safer display names where available, while the store still keeps account information private under its privacy policy.

How do I report a concern?

Use the report option inside the member platform or contact the Still Standing team. Immediate danger must go to local emergency services.

Can people promote services or ask for money?

Not without written approval from Still Standing. Unsolicited selling, fundraising, recruitment and direct-message promotion should be prohibited.
