Support resources

Help is available beyond the community

Still Standing can offer peer connection and encouragement around recovery and mental wellbeing. It is not a crisis, medical, therapy or addiction-treatment service. This page begins with United States resources and also includes United Kingdom support.

Immediate danger or life-threatening emergency

United States: call 911. United Kingdom: call 999. If you are in another country, contact your local emergency number. Do not wait for a website reply.

Community boundaries

Honest support without pretending to be professionals

The strongest community knows its limits and points people toward appropriate help when needed.

Can the Members’ Circle replace treatment?

No. Members can share peer encouragement and lived experience around recovery and mental wellbeing, but the community is not clinical care and does not replace qualified professional support.

What should I do if somebody is in immediate danger?

Contact emergency services for the person’s location. In the United States call 911. In the United Kingdom call 999.

What if someone in the United States is in emotional crisis?

Call or text 988, or use the 988 Lifeline online chat. If there is immediate physical danger, call 911.

Can members diagnose me or tell me to change medication?

No. Members may discuss personal experience, but should not diagnose, prescribe, advise somebody to stop or change medication, or pressure another person to follow a treatment path.

Can I discuss anxiety, depression, grief or loneliness in the Circle?

Yes, as a peer conversation about personal experience and everyday support. The Circle is not therapy, is not continuously monitored, and urgent or clinical needs should be taken to appropriate professional services.
